NyAsia is a Clinical Mental Health Intern who is currently pursuing her Masters of Education in Counseling and Development at Winthrop University. She previously received
her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, with a double minor in Psychology and Community Based Learning. While obtaining her bachelors degree, NyAsia became a Registered Behavior Technician, where she provided 1:1 ABA Services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder over the past few years. She has experience supporting children and adolescents in both school and clinical settings, helping them manage anxiety, stress, and life transitions while utilizing effective coping skills to meet their individual needs. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, and Play-Based interventions. She is determined to create a warm and safe environment for both clients and families where they feel heard and seen.
