Thalia is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an Identity Studies minor from the University of Arizona Global Campus and her Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology with a Professional Counselor Licensure track from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Thalia is dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment for children, teens, and families through a trauma-informed, person-centered, and compassionate approach. She has experience working with individuals in a short-term crisis counseling setting, as well as providing therapeutic services within a school setting. Thalia utilizes evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and play-based interventions. She believes every child deserves to be heard, understood, and supported in a safe environment where they can increase their confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and feel empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Thalia is especially passionate about utilizing her life-long interest in video games as a tool to connect with like-minded clients to build healthy relationships with gaming and technology. She believes in helping clients and their families find balance, build meaningful connections, and help young people develop the skills they need to flourish both in and outside of the school environment.
