Caroline Kopczynski

MSEd, MPhil, LPC-A

Caroline is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate with a master’s in professional counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of South Carolina. She prioritizes a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel valued, understood, and free to express themselves authentically. Her warm, genuine approach fosters trust, enabling clients to explore emotions openly.

Caroline primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), emphasizing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These evidence-based approaches help clients manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and attachment concerns. With experience in group and individual counseling in school and partial hospitalization settings, Caroline tailors her approach to honor each client’s unique background, offering individualized and culturally responsive care.

Caroline prioritizes a client-centered approach, believing clients are more than their diagnoses, fostering autonomy and hope. She emphasizes healthy relationships as vital to mental well-being, supporting children and adolescents navigating the complexities of youth and adults seeking personal growth. Her work empowers clients to take ownership of their therapeutic journey and thrive in a safe, supportive space.

Outside counseling, Caroline enjoys running, music, and spending time with family, which keep her grounded. Raised in a large, blended family, she values connection and embraces diverse perspectives, bringing warmth and insight into her work to facilitate meaningful, lasting change for her clients.
