Sydney is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. Sydney has a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University, as well as a bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Wingate University. Beginning with Thrive as a master’s level counseling intern, and journeying from a provisionally licensed associate counselor to a fully, independently, licensed professional counselor, Sydney has demonstrated significant professional growth. In addition to honing sound clinical skills and developing strong therapeutic relationships with a diverse clientele, her previous experience working with clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder has allowed Sydney to meet her clients with empathy, compassion, as well as persistence and determination. Sydney provides outpatient therapy at the Fort Mill office and school-based services with the Clover School District.
Sydney enjoys a personalized and eclectic approach to counseling while utilizing various techniques based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rogerian Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and much more.
