Jared Nodine is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in South Carolina. He earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and provides counseling to children, adolescents, and adults, with experience in both school-based and outpatient settings. Jared’s clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, behavioral and emotional dysregulation in children, men’s issues, and family and relationship stressors, including separation and divorce adjustment.
Jared became a counselor to serve fellow sufferers in discovering, re-discovering, and maintaining the meaning in their lives. Meaning, as he understands it, is a prime motivation that drives us as human souls, and that meaning can be eroded by depression, anxiety, traumatic events, and broken relationships. As Carl Jung once said, “Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul,” and Jared strives to bring both clinical skill and genuine human presence into the counseling room. He often describes therapy as care for the soul, where we help clients apply the balm to emotional wounds, the cast to the broken spirit, and the sling to the dislocated relationship, so that a Meaningful life can be rebuilt with steadiness, clarity, and hope.
Jared takes an integrative, person-centered approach and tailors treatment to each client’s needs. His work is grounded in existential and psychodynamic perspectives, and he also draws from Internal Family Systems-informed interventions, cognitive and behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based practices. Jared’s goal is to help clients understand what is happening within them, identify patterns that keep them stuck, and develop practical tools for regulation, healthier relationships, and values-driven action, while honoring each client’s unique story and the deeper purposes that give life direction.
