Seth Chesson

Master Level intern

Seth is an intern finishing his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University in 2014 in Secondary Education but chose to pursue the military after graduation, where he served for 5 years. Shortly after, he began pursuing his passion for counseling. For the past 4 years, Seth has worked for an organization in which he leads a group of men dealing with pornography/sex addiction, relationship issues, and sexual dysfunction.  He is also the leader in a marriage regeneration program that focuses on foundations for marital success, communication, and healing.

Seth believes that people are damaged in relationships (whether romantic, familial, or social), but it is also within relationships that they are healed. He operates from an attachment theory point of view and utilizes an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach along with other therapeutic approaches as needed for each client. Seth believes each client is the expert of their own lives, and he works with clients to identify their own core beliefs which drive dysfunctional feelings and behaviors.

In his free time Seth loves to spend time with his wife and 4 children.
