Executive Director

Thrive's Founder

Dr. Beth is the founder of Thrive Family Services LLC. She holds an LPC license in Virginia, an LCMHCS in North Carolina, and an LPCS in South Carolina. In addition to her licenses as a professional counselor, she is also certified as a trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapist and is EMDRIA certified in EMDR.  With a doctorate in Psychology and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Dr. Beth has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She favors an eclectic approach to therapy, using techniques most suited to each individual such as behavioral modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based approaches, trauma-focused treatment, and dialectical behavioral interventions, among others. Dr. Beth enjoys helping clients identify their own strengths and how to use them to improve their mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

In order to provide the best standard of care to her clients, Dr. Beth is not currently able to accept new clients due to a full caseload and many other responsibilities. However, she is happy to provide advice on which counselor may be best suited to work with you based on your struggles and goals.

Dr. Beth also oversees, supervises, and provides professional advice to all of her staff. She is part of the advocacy team with the SCCA and also sits on the board as a Member at Large. She is an advocate for the professional development of others in the counseling field, offering supervision in person or remotely for any LPC-A that is starting or is in the process of completing the supervised clinical hours required for licensure in South Carolina. Supervision fees are $100 per individual meeting, or a flat rate of $350 per month when paid in advance, which includes up to 4 hours of supervision during that month.
