Megan boone
Master Level intern
A Rock Hill native, Megan is currently pursuing her Masters in Counseling Psychology at Southern Wesleyan University, and post-graduate certification in Disaster Mental Health at the University of South Dakota.
Megan’s practicum with SafeAlliance of NC consisted of accompaniment and outreach to clients in Mecklenburg County civil, criminal, and superior courtrooms who are survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. She has spent seven years in emergency services including volunteer firefighting, emergency medical services, dispatch work, and volunteering with the American Red Cross. These experiences have helped to influence her goal of assisting clients with symptoms of acute stress disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety.
Megan believes in approaching life’s challenges in an “all-in” sense, solutions-focused, and grounded. She believes that every client, given the tools necessary for self-empowerment, can confidently navigate out of their hardships and into a prosperous future.
