AMy connor
Masters level intern
Amy is an intern completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University. Her bachelor’s degrees in behavioral science and education provided a strong foundation for her experience as a middle and high school teacher, as well as her roles as a mom, bonus mom, and international foster mom. She also brings a diverse range of personal and professional experience working with law enforcement, first responders, military families, and individuals facing trauma.
Amy employs an integrative approach in her practice, using techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. She often incorporates Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, all viewed through a strengths-based and person-centered lens. Additionally, she is trained to integrate spiritual beliefs for clients who wish to include this aspect in their therapeutic work.

Believing that the therapeutic relationship is a sacred space for exploring wounds and facilitating healing, Amy is particularly passionate about helping individuals process traumatic experiences and achieve a sense of wholeness and meaning in their lives.
Outside of her professional work, Amy enjoys spending time with her children, as well as reading, music, and natural light photography.
